What happens to my subscription once Smithsonian Channel Plus is discontinued?

When Smithsonian Channel Plus is discontinued later this year, your subscription will be canceled for you and you will no longer be charged on a recurring basis.

If you are an active monthly subscriber, you will receive your final charge for Smithsonian Channel Plus between October 2, 2020 and November 2, 2020, on your next scheduled billing date, unless you cancel prior to your billing date. After your final charge, you will continue to have access to the service for 30 days.

If you currently have an annual subscription, your subscription will not auto-renew at the end of your current subscription period. Once Smithsonian Channel Plus is discontinued later this year, we will automatically refund you a pro-rated amount (based on the date of the end of the service) of any un-used portion of your subscription to the payment method you used upon subscribing.

Though Smithsonian Channel Plus is being discontinued, you can still stream Air Disasters, Aerial America, Secrets, and hundreds of other Smithsonian Channel hit series on CBS All Access! In addition to live news and sports, and thousands of episodes from CBS, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, MTV and more.

If you are already a CBS All Access subscriber, just go to the Smithsonian Channel page in the CBS All Access app, or at and start streaming.

If you're not a CBS All Access subscriber, you can try it, free. Just visit the CBS All Access website to get started.
